New technologies for the mining industry from EVOBLAST Group at the exhibition Coal of Russia and Mining. Mineral Resources of Russia 2025
From June 3 to June 6, Novokuznetsk hosted the central event of the country's mining industry - the 33rd International Specialized Exhibition Coal of Russia and Mining. Mineral Resources of Russia. 715 domestic and foreign companies presented their solutions in 2025, and the number of visitors amounted to 62,834 people. The business programme discussed technological sovereignty, sustainable development of the mining and metallurgy industries, the problem of personnel shortages, automation of production processes, occupational health and safety.
EVOBLAST Group presented innovative developments and integrated solutions to improve the efficiency and safety of drilling and blasting operations both by open cast and underground methods.
The visitors’ attention was attracted by a visual demonstration of the capabilities of electronic initiation systems (EBS). For customers, the transition to electronic systems provides an opportunity to achieve the desired characteristics of the blasted rock mass and reduce the cost of downstream mineral processing. When implementing EBS at the mine, EVOBLAST Group provides engineering, consulting and maintenance services, as well as train personnel to use the new technology.
In addition, the Group presented the second generation of a software and hardware complex for monitoring the displacement of rock mass. With the help of sensors installed in the holes, it is possible to determine the location of ore or waste rock. The development increases the efficiency of mining, minimizes losses and dilution of ore.
On June 4, the company offered solutions to several pressing problems in the mining industry at the interactive session "New Times – New Heroes", organized by the Marketing by Timchenko agency. Within the frame of the block “From Geological Exploration to a Modern Mining Enterprise””, the EVOBLAST Group experts spoke about developments that allow to optimize the blasting process in extreme climatic conditions.
Andrey Morgunov, Chief Engineer of the Drilling and Drilling Projects of the EVOBLAST Group, stressed that 70% of Russian mining facilities are located in areas with a severe northern climate, often far from large settlements. In order to optimize the blasting process, make it more efficient, as well as safe and comfortable for personnel, EVOBLAST Group presented its own solutions, which have already proven themselves at the customers’ enterprises. Thus, Andrey Morgunov detailed the advantages of using electronic initiation systems. With their help, it is possible to accurately implement the required initiation scheme, expand the pattern considering the mining and geological conditions of the mine, while not considering the initiation front, as there is no concept of an initiation front when using electronic detonators. Due to the simple design of electronic detonators and the absence of elements on the surface that can be affected by external factors such as cold or flyrock, the risk of failures is significantly reduced. The technology makes it possible to obtain the required grain composition after blasting, saving on the downstream mining processes, as well as making the blasters’ work more comfortable.
Sergey Mozer, Director for Strategic Development of EVOBLAST Group, Head of EVOBLAST Engineering, in turn, recalled the advantages of the company's fully localized products - EVOSAB® emulsion explosive for underground mining and EVOFOR® for open-pit mining.
In the “Territory, Personnel, Prospects, Ecology section”, Maria Martsinkovskaya, Marketing Manager of EVOBLAST Group, presented a system of social guarantees and corporate professional growth programs, stressing that people are the main value of the mining industry. Special attention was paid to the Young Specialist program, which allows graduates of specialized universities to get practical skills in several professions and production experience in one year. At the end of her speech, the speaker emphasized that investing in the education of future professionals contributes not only to the development of a particular company, but also to the formation of the future of the entire mining industry in Russia.
